Alrighty, so fun little topic thats slightly out-there. I've been chatting with a lot of people and it seems there seems to be a trend in people being surprised that, yes, there is a reasonably sized little cluster of people over 18 playing the game. Some of us were "grandfather'd in" because we played Impressive Title back in 2008, which as most you all know was the precursor to Last Moon, and any other sequel/server you can think of. (Feral Heart, Wolf Soul, Sanctum of Eventide, Impressive World, Royale Skies, etc.) Now, food for thought, I was 13 back in 2008 (And I am 19, almost 20 now), so I was "granfather'd in" whereas some people are simply older first thing, found the game, liked it, and hopped on board. (Which I think is totally awesome by the way)I've discovered a LOT of the other folks who played Impressive Title years ago seem to have congregated in both Last Moon and Royal Skies as the majority while the rest vanished. The speculated age range of Last Moon is probably more along the lines of about 13-17 (While ignoring the under-age folks who technically faked their age and signed up illegally.) However, I've observed a number of people who are as old as 30 still enjoying the game. Surprised? As for just hanging out with people, I just prefer to stick to people I can relate to. The drama middle school my-best-friend-hates-me-about-a-crush-ok-not-really-back-together-omg-wut's-going-on-guys llama is...far from easy for me relate to me anymore. EVERYONE went through that awkward stage and its been a LOOOONG time since I've been there and I have no desire to go back. This isn't to say I have an aversion to being fun or silly. Just because I'm over 18 doesn't mean I don't have a childish streak (If you don't, you are not human by any stretch of the imagination) and that I'm all work and no play, but its in a different way.I can't really explain it better than that. So how many folks out there are a little high in the age range/over 18? Were you grandfather'd in or did you just show up one day? Did you head here on your own or did you drag a group of friends with you? (Thats what I did I brought 5 people with me. LOL)

I'm twenty-one and I hopped on over here after hearing this game mentioned in an IT server topic on FeralHeart. I'm afraid I was never a part of the old "Impressive Title" crowd because back in 2008 I didn't have my own computer, and had to share one super-old family computer with everyone else in the household, and they didn't want me downloading what they thought was some weird-looking video-game. I got my first and only laptop as a graduation present in 2010, and I joined FeralHeart in December of that year. The rest, as they say, is history.

My, Sil. That was rather tame. Based on the conversations we had on this topic, I was braced for a scolding about how older players tend to get the stranger-danger treatment unjustly. Which, unfortunately, is true to some extent. But I think I'd rather have a server full of people over eighteen than one of under-eighteen.
Maybe that's just my bias, since my eighteenth birthday's fast approaching. When I was 13 and playing ImpressiveTitle, I always pictured, "oh, when I get on varsity, I'll quit." Then it was, "When I get a car, I'll have this awesome social life and I'll quit." And it wound me up sitting here like, WELP. Guess I'm staying (though, truthfully, if LM had not existed and I was stuck in FH, I might actually have quit).

I never got to play the old Impressive Title, though I've heard some good stuff about it ^-^ I must admit this though: When I was roleplaying in a Warrior Cat group (Yes, I know, but I was bored) in FeralHeart, one of the people I was screwing around with said they were gonna go play 'LM' That's where I first heard about it. If not for a FeralHeart Warrior Cat, I would not be here today xD

LOL I think the fear is rooted in a just cause buuuut kids aren't educated well enough to know the difference. Kids need to [although in some places they are] taught that so long as they don't hand their personal info out on a silver platter, there's virtually close to nothing anyone can do to get to them without it and not EVERY adult on the internet is a pedophile/stalker/murderer/whatever. Adults have friends, and interests, and hobbies, and like to play games too. My brother scared the DAYLIGHTS out of my parents when he was 10 years old. My parents caught him talking to some older gentleman. (and guys especially get the double standard) At first, they panicked but upon further inspection and without COMPLETELY flipping out, do you know what was actually going on? The man was /teaching/ my brother HTML and how to build websites which is a great skill he took on into his teenage years and adulthood and got paid for doing on several separate occasions. In other words, no stranger danger, no harm done. And honestly, I adore that LM is 13+. Because any 13 year old I've run into that discovers that the rule is enforced almost always [ALMOST] goes from acting like a hooligan and preaching their age as an excuse for their behavior to trying to blend in and act like little angels so they don't stick out from the crowd. But ANYWAY. Thats cool to hear. I didn't realize you were that old Abomine Cloud: Such a troll Clud

I played IT in 2008, so I was like I don't even know like 6 or 7 lmfao I'm 16 now( aye, it's close to 18 so why not)
Been around ever since. I wasn't really your erm, typical go outside and play with your neighbors kind of kid really. I liked to play on the computer and meet people from new places and hence began my journey through the space and orbits of the IT community.

I actually just turned 18 in February. I feel as though so long as a server exists, and so long as my mind isn't pulled apart and shredded into millions of irreparable threads (because of natural muscle/cognitive atrophy), I will always do my utmost to perpetuate LM's fundamentals and to sustain a jocund-auspicious ambiance. I first learned of LM when I was on Youtube. I saw a gameplay video that resembled one of Feral Heart, which is what I romped around at the time, though it referred me to the original Impressive Title site (which was more appealing)... which then showed me here in a roundabout sort of way (it was inactive, obviously, but there was talk of another server, and I continued the search for relevant facts on Youtube). I had to solicit some information from the creator of the video, but eventually I landed safely on LM's strip. Very satisfied with my choice. As an annotation: I feel that age should not be an issue (I'm not saying that it is, but I do know that it bothers certain users when they find out their "friends" aren't either as young as they are, or as old, depending). When I was 13, I had friends who were 30+, one of them being 42. I had eight-year-old - companions as well. We got along because of either contrasting personality quirks we adored or simply because we shared a mind-set or had that inexplicable connection/bond. I also love old stuff; type writers, candles, books, shows, poetry, hard work... the archaic/forgotten dictionary... So there was never too little to converse about. And that's what really cinches a budding relationship. Besides, online, we were always cautious, on both ends, never revealing where we lived and so forth. It is as the teacher, Anna, said in The King and I, "Age and wisdom do not necessarily go hand-in-hand[...]." Eugh I wrote too much. Oh well. I'm far too lazy to edit it so early in the morning.

Ahah 19 heading onto 20 in August! I was around just after the original IT had been released. Couldn't play it much cause my old laptop despised it and the same goes for FH which is where I migrated to after IT got shut down (And had been stalking the release for FH anywho). After staying on Fh for a good few years and gaining a computer that would let me play I had basically quit these games. I moved to IW for a little while but still never went on there much. Then I found LM through DeviantArt somehow (I cant remember how exactly). After faving the group page it took me a while but I showed my friend who introduced me to IT originally and we both joined at the same time. After a while she got work and couldnt come on as much so I started heading ingame by myself. At first I was doing the quests and stuff alone before I started talking to players online and joining rps. I owe this server a lot actually lol. I had an issue a few years back now and plain out refused to make any new online friends but this place was a start of a new go at everything and I've come on leaps in bounds with confidence and also had the privilege to share in the community and help make it better Thanks Mooners~ (apologies for a long sappy paragraph aha)

My feels! And not even my RP feels, like my feels feels. I think I speak for most when I say I'm glad you didn't give up on having online friends. Because you're really good at being one. Okay, forgive the slight off-topicness. Continue on.

I never heard of the org IT game until I stumbled upon Feral Heart a few years ago. I love big cats....for no other reason other than that. I'm 25 btw and a computer geek.
Some one in the chat mentioned Impressive World. I tried IW, which I really liked at first, maps are awesome looking and music is epic....but character models/textures are horrid. Plus, I could never figure that game out...all foreign language people anyway. FH was quite simple but got boring quick after I spent a bunch of time figuring out Ascension Island and got to the map on the top. Pluss, I never was into the RP aspect of it. (always had people asking to be there mate, or if i would be their cub) etc.
Anyway, gave up FH for a while, then randomly got bored and fired it up, heard someone mention Last Moon. Gave it a try, at first...wasn't nearly as good and complete as it is now. Then, got bored again a few months later, and finally figured out Last Moon and the quests and all. I also got talking to a few people and a few mods and which helped me understand the game much better. LM has much more to offer with the quests and items. Definitely much more worth my time.

Well I'm still currently 15 (16 in May so its not that too far away XD) but I never got to play the original IT because I only got my first laptop back round 6th grade. I played wolf quest a few times before it decided not to load anymore. Then while looking up some games equivalent to wolf quest I stumbled upon a video game-play of Feralheart. But of course the FH registration was down the time I accessed the site. Then a few sleepless nights later while trying to register on the site I stumbled upon the IW game. So I downloaded it a a few orge errors later I got the game working for me. Then I finally got to the FH registration and played it for awhile but then returned to the IW world.I played it for a long time until my friend in-game told me that she played LM so I went to check it out. At that time I absolutely despised the thought of playing on an IT server for some reason. But I looked it up and saw how awesome it was and downloaded the game and ta da... here I am today with all ya'll awesome people .

wasn't sure if i should post here but aw heck
To be honest, I'm nowhere near close to reaching adulthood. I'm turning fourteen in September as surprising as it might sound, although apparently I've been told I act a lot more mature considering my age? I've even been mistaken to be older by friends before haha. I don't really believe it, but aye. I've got quite a few friends who are older than eighteen, though, and I really don't understand why people get all "oooh they're gonna get u" over talking to a person older than them on the internet? It's common sense to be extremely cautious when giving out personal information on the web; I think it's unfair to assume that adults aren't allowed to play games every so often just because they're adults.
I'll admit I've never gotten an opportunity to play Impressive Title, but I do remember seeing videos of it on YouTube back before FeralHeart was released, wanting to play it /so/ badly and being disappointed when I heard it was shut down.
However, I was introduced to FeralHeart by a friend of mine on another website (of which I don't visit often anymore), and played that actively until I took a hiatus for a reason I can't even recall now. In mid-2012 I finally returned, and that's when I began meeting all of my wonderful friends and getting involved in roleplays.
Whereas, I actually joined this brilliant game when The Forbidden Lands decided to migrate from FeralHeart, and boy, I don't regret my decision at all. You guys are amazing. <3

And YOU'RE our members of the month smh. -Shrug- I didn't make the rules, I just appreciate them for what they are. LOL. I can't count the number of times I ran across an underage kid who was acting like a total hooligan and pretending as if they could use their under-ageness as an excuse only to realize the game is 13 + and go "UH OH!" and began acting like little angels and trying to blend in. I don't snitch but I remind them of that fact the first time I run across them and you know what? So far, its been pretty effective. A good chunk of them stop being a pain. Sadly it doesn't work on the ones who actually are 13+ and have nothing to lose. LOL.
