Whenever I log into multiplayer the game lags. It seems that it is virtually impossible for me to move and I continuously connect and disconnect so I can change the screen resolution in hopes that this may help. Do you have any pointers to prevent this from happening or am I screwed? Anyways thank you for reading my thread and thank you in advance to those of you who have replied.

How about changing your rendering system? This probably will not reduce a lot of lag, but it's worth a shot.

Thank you for replying. Which rendering system: the game or the one that is located within my laptop and how?

You can change your rendering system by loading the game. After the black box disappears, switch it to the one that you hadn't selected before.
e.g. OpenGL to Direct3D9

I've tried that before, but it didn't do anything. I'll try again though.

Maybe it's just some connections on your end, or possible for the fact that the game is new on the computer, I faced the same problems back when I first joined, takes the computer a while to get used to it x3 whenever I install something new, it slows my computer down for a few days

It could be my connections. I've installed the game before and it ran perfectly. I'll check the game's connection with my laptop. Thank you for replying and for the suggestion WarFang! UPDATE If this is possible can someone lock this thread?
