Hey guys,
This is a somewhat response to Rak's thread, and I wanted to take my stand in it. If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's the recent reports we've been receiving. People have been leaving the game due to others bullying them. Cyber-bullying is NOT okay here! We have a zero-tolerance policy for it. Cyber-bullying is an actual crime in some places and if you're caught you can be fined a high price! If you do see any of this happening to someone or even yourself, we beg that you report it to an moderator/admin. We take bullying and harassment very seriously.
Defined “Cyber bullying” is defined as a young person tormenting, threatening, harassing, or embarrassing another young person using the Internet or other technologies, like cell phones.
Did you know that 81% of young people think bullying online is easier to get away with than bullying in person? What about 58% of kids admitting someone has said mean or hurtful things to them online. More than 4 out 10 say it has happened more than once? As I stated in the earlier paragraph, this is not okay whatsoever. You may be joking but, joke or not even friend or not, it still can hurt other people. I know this from experience. Bullying victims are 2 to 9 times more likely to consider committing suicide. So yeah, it hurts.
Please, think before you type. Thank you! -Last Moon staff

This makes me so sad. :c
I have a friend in real life that experienced bullying and a bit of cyber bullying. It really got to her.
I hope there will be less of this soon on here.

Really? The World Really.. I am not amused. It's not like someone is better than you.. And Cyber-bullying doesn't make you feel better.. And if you don't stand up to yourself. It'll just get worse! So many people think that if they tell an admin, or mod that they are taddle telling. I Witnessed a cyber-bully just a few days ago. ((Posted on the forums, not a wise thing to do.)) Hopefully there isn't more of this in the future..

Thank you so much Bella and Rak for posting this. I've been noticing an increase of members leaving for this reason also.
Plus, if you do not know how to report a member and want to, you can read a tutorial on how to do so by clicking on this button.

I probably have a rather unfavored opinion here but I ask you hear me out before anyone goes into total bash-mode.
First of all, this? That’s sad. Really sad. And to be honest the cyber bullying is part of what drove me over here from Feral-heart. No, I was not directly affected. (Though IRL when I was younger, I was bullied verbally/physically a lot.) However, I noticed others taking part and additionally I noticed that other players who were, shall we say, “significantly less than perfect” with their roleplaying and writing skills were TERRIFIED of any roleplayers with a little more experience. They’d apologize over and over for their mistakes, slap “short” all over the post, constant “sorry I suck at this” when they’re really NOT that bad at all. I dug a little deeper and it turns out most of these folks are petrified of being insulted/kicked out of a roleplay for minor errors or even a typo. Yes. Typos! Just…. Seriously, since when did someone making a very human error give anyone the right to become an asshole? To the point its scaring people into trying too hard to the point they’re not enjoying themselves anymore? People were scared of ME for what SOMEONE ELSE did to them. That’s incredibly depressing. Thankfully a lot less of that seems to go on over here and I hope it stays that way and I’m terribly sorry for those who felt the need to leave.
Now this is where I’m going to duck behind the curtain to avoid flying tomatoes because the whole thing about committing suicide because of what soandso said on the internet? I’m sorry but that is /nonsense./ No, I’m not supporting the assholes who do this sort of thing but I’m also not advocating those who think its perfectly “understandable” for someone to take something hurtful online SO personally to the point they take their own life. I feel more sorry for your family than I do for you. Why?
For one thing, its on the internet and you need to realize, you’re dealing with an even bigger coward than a normal bully because not only are they speaking behind your back, they ‘re hiding behind a screen! They’re THAT scared of you, what the hell are you worried about?
Second, you should never take things on the internet personally. If you do, I’m sorry pal, its your own problem. To take it personally is as self-inflicting as the suicide itself. If you don’t have a thick skin, you should probably turn off the TV, get away from the computer, and get away from any other media in the world because there are things EVERYWHERE that WILL offend you. You have to get over it.
And as for these things coming out into real life situations such as a rumor on the net about someone being a slut suddenly changing the attitude of everyone around them, I hate to say it, but if these people really were halfway decent or your friends, then they would know better than not to buy into random lies and gossip. “BUT ITS EVERYBODY.” No. Its not everyone. Its most people. Because most people, surprise surprise are neither your friend, nor are they even halfway decent. It’s a sad truth and I hate it too, but regardless, its still true.
And before someone gripes at me “Well everyone is different/people take things different ways/some are more sensitive!!!” I’m sorry but the last I checked, in nature when an animal can’t handle its surroundings/environment it either suffers with its problem, adapts and overcomes, or it dies and life rolls on. It doesn’t stop to coddle that one sensitive “little guy.” Evolution does not care about sensitivity, your hurt, or your “wounds” and neither does our world. So you’re given the same options, either overcome or die. I wish it were different but its not.
I guess what I’m trying to get at here is yes, its sad. Yes I feel sorry for those who are cyber bullied….to a point. They don’t need to be slathered in hugs and kisses. They need a little peck on the cheek, told it’ll be OK and to grow a thicker skin and not give two shits about what someone behind a screen says. Or really, not to give two shits about what anybody says and to move on. And as for the cyberbullies out there, what do you intend to gain? False acceptance? The only reason you have friends is because you talk trash. That won’t help you keep friends in adulthood and in the end you’ll have more trouble finding them than the ones you spread all the fake rumors/pictures about. Those people will eventually get away from you and move on and you will be left alone, probably in worse shape than those you talked down to.

They need to learn to deal with getting their feelings hurt. Like I said, the world won't compensate for their sensitvity and will expect them to "buck up and deal with it" like everyone else. If they can't handle it, sad to say, its not anyone elses problem. Afterall, if you catch a cold do you curl up in bed and cry "woe is me!"? No. You take meds. You deal with the suck part of it and move on when its finally over regardless of how bad it is and regardless of if it lasts one day or a week Same thing needs to happen with cyber bullying or any other kind of bullying. Flipping out over cyberbullying to the point of suicide is a self-inflicted problem, helped or not and I can't see it in any other light.

This is really terrible. One of my friends committed suicide because of cyber-bullying. Why do people do this? Does it make you feel stronger? Better? I just don't get it.
